Things To Do

The Beach

Silversands beach is only a few minutes walk from the caravan.  It sweeps away in both directions, the left heading towards Burghead, and the right towards the scenic town of Lossiemouth. Overlooking the beach is Covesea Lighthouse.  An historic building with sea caves at its feet.  The sandy beach is renown for its clean, sparkling appearance and picturesque sand dunes. Anti tank obstacles stretch across the beach along with the remains of tree trunks placed to prevent glider planes from landing during the second world war. The beach is perfect for walking, surfing and spotting marine wildlife such as seals or dolphins.

The beach is serene and stunningly beautiful. Have a dip in the refreshing waters and then revive the blood with a sauna nearby on the caravan site. Or walk to Lossiemouth and have a lovely coffee at the Beach Hut Café.

Nearby is a small free museum dedicated to the RAF and its history in the area. Opposite Silversands Caravan Park is RAF Lossiemouth.  You can see fighter jets taking off and landing which is seriously impressive.

Also close by is Moray Golf Club, a classic link golf course set in beautiful surroundings.
